Local Government Environmental Noise Course Perth
Aimed specifically at WA Local Government Environmental Health Officers and students studying Environmental Health in WA, NVMS’s 2-day LGEN course provides a thorough overview of all practical aspects of environmental noise. The course is endorsed by the WA Dept of Water and Environmental Regulation (DWER) and complements their own 2-day Noise Regulation Training. Covering the specific requirements of the WA Environmental Protection (Noise) Regulations 1997, the course also covers the broader topics of basic acoustics and acoustic analysis, outdoor sound propagation, instrumentation, noise characteristics, prediction and modeling, and practical measurement. There are no pre-requisites – the course is suitable for all EHOs and environmental health students in WA, with or without prior noise experience.

WA local govt EHOs, Env Health undergrad & postgrad students, DWER environmental/compliance officers.
Outcomes
On completion of the LGEN course, attendees will have a thorough understanding of environmental noise from measurement procedures and data interpretation to regulatory application and compliance assessment in Western Australia.
